Oklahoma Tragedy, Let ‘US’ Pray!

I would like to express my most deepest sympathies to all who is affected by this past storm.

You have cried many tears of hurt, frustration, fear, anger, sorrow, pain, loss, disbelief and..........

You have cried many tears of hurt, frustration, fear, anger, sorrow, pain, loss, disbelief and……….

The stories, pictures and media, can not show or express what is in your hearts and minds. These can not show your heartache, devastation and loss. Just watching what I have seen and heard, I have cried and wept for you. I don’t understand nor will I ever claim to.

My heart aches and saddened by this loss and for you, your families and friends.

....Jesus has seen every thing. He has felt and seen all you have gone through. You are not alone, He is with you always.

….Jesus has seen every thing. He has felt all you have gone through. You are not alone, He is with you always.
“You have seen me tossing and turning through the night. You have collected all my tears and preserved them in your bottle! You have recorded every one in your book.” Psalms 56:8 (TLB)

My sincere prayers are with you and for you tonight and the days to come.

Sometimes I wonder what difference one persons prays could make. They can change the world of many.

1 Corinthians 12:26 (NKJV) 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

We are still “ONE NATION”  and a nation “UNDER GOD.” We are “ONE NATION UNDER GOD.” Amen!

When one  part of our nation hurts the rest of it feels it also. I truly believe this. I know this passage of Scripture is talking about the body of Christ being and working as one, I would like to apply it to “US, that is, YOU and ME,” in this country, we are on body, “ONE NATION.” When one suffers (hurts) we all feel it in some way, we are all affected.

The rest of the passage before this verse is as follows:                                         1 Corinthians 12:14-26 (NKJV) 14 For in fact the body (nation-just think of “the body” as OUR country, OUR nation as “ONE NATION UNDER GOD”) is not one member but many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. 19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, 24 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

We need one another! No one is above or better than the other. We all serve a specific and important place, just don’t pass yours off to someone else because you don’t think isn’t as important than someone else…or visa-versa. :)

Like we have seen and experienced in past tragedies and devastations in our country, it has been the care we ”THE PEOPLE” have pulled together by love, grace and mercies of the mighty Living God, the great I AM, the creator of all heaven and earth, the father of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, which He is working in and through the hearts of people, for people.

Oklahoma can not make this ‘new journey’ they are now facing on their own.

There are many who will be able to go and help physically, financially, health and medically, giving and taking needed food and supplies. There will be ones going to help set up temporary housing and such. Schools and churches will be opening their door to help in any way and so will other business and the like. There are numberous ways of helping theses in Oklahoma. Please, don’t get so busy and caught up in all the necessary “doing” of things, take the time to stop and pray for them. Prayer can and has moved nations. Prayer can certainly move and work on the behalf of every person this has touched in some way by this past “storm”.

Let us ALL, daily remember to pray for these in need of much prayer. Some of us may not be able to be there or do anything ‘physically,’ but WE ALL CAN PRAY!

My prayers and thoughts go out to each one of you all. To those who are hurting and suffering, to the medical aid staff and hospitals, service men and women, search and rescue, police, firemen/women, EMT’sRed Cross (and others), the city and state officials and any others; to ALL of you who are there in the middle of this terrible tornado aftermath and giving yourselves to what needs to be done. As I mentioned before many schools, churches, businesses, and individuals will b opening their doors to many, I pray for you. I ask for wisdom, encouragement and the ability to do the task that is being set before you. It is not going to be easy. I applaud those of you who are there to lend that hand to those in need. Lord bless you for your work, nothing is TOO small.

I trust you will continue in your faith in God and look to HIm for your comfort where there seems to be none is sight. He is there with you, be encouraged tonight and the days ahead.

Lord bless you, this is sent with much prayer to you.

the HOLY and PASSION week

This HOLY WEEK. This is the PASSION WEEK. It is a bittersweet week in knowing what our Saviour Jesus Christ

Tonight (representative) Jesus was trying to tell, express, one of the greatestJesus-washinglessons He was trying to tell them during His three years of ministry. Jesus washed their feet. He was telling them “like I am doing this to you do it to one another and all you meet. You and others travel in and through the world, the world is a dirty dark place, you need to take care of each other. Support them. Pray for them. Do what it is you need to do to take care of fellow christians.” This is what it is to wash one another’s feet. Jesus was also having his last meal with His disciples.

Jesus last supper with His dicsiples.

Jesus last supper with His dicsiples.

He was also telling them another important thing. His body was going to be broken for them, for us. we need to receive this. Take it in and let it be assimilated into our very being. He was also tell them they were to be broken in like manner. We as christians will suffer as we follow Him. Jesus was also betrayed by one of His own, just as He said that one was sitting at the same table.  After dinner He took a few disciples to pray with im. They fell asleep….but Jesus prayed for what was to come would pass. Jesus wanted the will of the Father more than His own will. He knew what He was to do. He was betrayed by a kiss, by Judas, and taken prisoner. Beginning tonight through tomorrow He was being interrogated, beaten, spit on, flogged, He was stripped of His clothes and mocked and jeered at, traded for a murder who was set free in Christ’s place, tormented and tortured more than any man has ever been. Tomorrow (representative) they are going to nail Him to a cross. He was set on display for all to see. Jesus was unrecognizable at this time. His body was so bruised, torn and bloodied. This was one of the most horrible death a man could suffer at that time. Jesus will die tonight.  He shed His blood for you and me. To make sure He is dead, a solider will thrust a sword into his side.

Jesus was slain for you and me. He took our sin and put it to death there.

Jesus was slain for you and me. He took our sin and put it to death there.

Many people during this time made choices….who was was the Son of God? Was this man, Jesus the Messiah? some realized, “Yes, this is the Messiah.” One of thing that truly blesses me; Jesus was hung between tow thieves. One mocked HIm, one accepted Him as Saviour. Jesus told Him, “tonight you will see Me in Paradise.” The next thing, one of the captain of the guards, saw Jesus as the Son of God. At this horrible time at least two men came to know Jesus as Saviour.

Jesus was taken to a borrowed tomb. Wrapped and mad ready for burial. Pilate and  the Pharisees set a large stone in front of the tomb with guards to watch they did not want anyone to come get Jesus from this tomb. Why? It was prophesied He would raise the third day, they were not going to let that happen.

But Jesus said He would raise the third day and He would be in Galilee and visit with His disciples there.

BUT three days later the earth shook, the great stone rolled away, an angel appeared, the guards got scared and ran away. Oh what a sight that must have been. The angel set atop the great stone, I am sure full of joy, rejoicing. Why? Jesus walked out of that darken tomb a victor over sin and death. Jesus brought us VICTORY! Jesus walked out of that tomb…walked out. I can bet that angel was sitting on that stone having the time of it “life”, if you will. :D

jesus walks out of tomb
Not only has death and sin lost it’d sting and hold on us, Jesus gave us free access into the HOLY OF HOLIES. We can have communion with Him, personally, we no longer need a mediator to go into the Holy of Holies. He made a way for us to enter in, to have an intimate relationship with Him, to speak to Him freely. How? When the earthquake happened the curtain that separated man from the presence of God, was torn in two…get this…from top to bottom. This curtain was so high and heavy it could only have been torn by the hand of God.

Jesus rose from the grave. He said He would do this. He walked and talked with the men on the way to Galilee. He did what He said He would do.

What Jesus said He would do he did.

I know I have left out a lot, but I want two share two more things quickly.

(1) Not only did Jesus do all He said He was going to do, He has given us victory over sin and death. He took our sin and it was nailed to the cross; He shed His blood so we did not have to die the death for our sins. We choose to sin once we know Him as Saviour. We can walk in the heavenlies here on earth, Jesus has made a way for us to do so. Jesus has made a way for us to b conquerors in this life. Through His death and resurrection we have access to live life abundantly in Him.

When this body dies or as scripture says, goes to sleep, we do not have to fear. We know where we are going, to heaven to sit with Jesus, with His Father in Paradise. Because of what Jesus did at the cross we have so much to look forward to, now and shortly to come.

(2) Jesus has promised to come again. Just as He went into the clouds, He will return. I know He is going to return for those who watching and waiting for Him. If we are watching and waiting for Him, we will be giving ourselves totally and completely to Him. No tha doesn’t mean we won’t make mistakes, it is what we do when we make those mistakes. Life in Christ has not been promised to be a bed of roses, but a life of joy and peace in believing, in believing in Jesus…trusting Him with our whole hearts.

When I look into the skies I wonder when. It could be now, I could be tomorrow, next week, next month….I do not know. Jesus doesn’t know when, only His Father knows the day and hour. I look forward to that day and hour.

How can I look forward to that time? Because of the work that Jesus did at the cross and raising in victory.

This is a sad, bittersweet week, but it is a victorious time also.

Reflect on what Jesus did, what He went through for you. Reflect on His death and His reserecction…life for you and me.

Blessings to you.
